Hurricane Watch

The mission of Hurricane Watch is to create a safe environment that supports the academic, emotional, social, and physical growth of children.

A school-based child care program has a number of important benefits. The environment provides teachers the opportunity to reinforce students’ classroom experiences through homework help and enrichment activities. The elementary school facility is designed for children to enjoy, offering resources such as the gym, computer lab, library, and playground. Also, students don’t need to navigate the bus or walk alone from school to another location.

For families who have pre-registered, Hurricane Watch is available from 6:30 am before school, and until 5:30 pm after school. If you are interested in enrolling your child in Hurricane Watch, please contact the Houston Community Education office, 507-896-5323, option 8.
