Being selected for MN Honor Society is one of the highest honors a student can earn at HHS. Students are eligible to be considered their junior year. Selection is based on scholarship, leadership, service and character.

Students are inducted into MHS each year in November and are members for life. Students are expected to uphold all the values that they were selected by. Each year the Houston chapter of MHS completes a group service project. Students are also required to do individual service projects as well.

The Minnesota Association of Honor Societies is a state wide organization that provides high schools honor society chapters with leadership training, meetings and conferences. Both students and advisors have the opportunity to participate in activities to better themselves and their NHS chapters.
